I think this episode is all about the discussion, so the notes are gonna be sparse. . .

You know, Drunvalo Melchizidek(who some claim to be a fraud like Carlos Castaneda) talks about our species going through a spiritual evolution from a Unity Consciousness without Ego, through a Polarity Consciousness which is characteristic of this world, and we're moving steadily towards a Higher Consciousness that incorporates the Unity aspects of reality, with the polarized, individualistic aspects of reality. Aleister Crowley talked about the idea of us being now in the Aeon of Horus, the Son(child). Basically in his cosmology, you have Nuit, the Mother/Feminine/Unity aspect of reality. Then there is Hadit, the point, the individual perspective, representing the Father/Masculine/Polarity consciouesness. And then, there is Horus, the Son/Child, and that is the interplay of Nuit & Hadit. . .Infinite possibilties/points/combinations. And that is where we are at, so it seems, at this point in our evolution, our timeline. We're "coming to"" in the Aeon of Horus, the "New Age"(what a horrible name!), or what Rudolf Steiner calls the "fifth Post-Atlantean epoch".



Trippy.

Chaos is everywhere, and yet, order prevails. Always. But who's order? What's order!?!?!? That is the crux of the biscuit, isn't it? We don't know exactly what the fuck is going down, but it's easy to see that we're changing. We're all changing, and faster. Are Rupert Sheldrake's Morphogenetic Fields being altered and exercised at such a quick pace, do to an upshot in both the population and access to information, that we might just be in the exact center of a cyclone of evolution that even the most informed and tuned in of the population have no evidence of reasonable control? They say that chaos is a lack of order, a lack of control, but it seems that such a viewpoint is off, it's wrong. Chaos is both Order and Control, but not from the view of a single point, it comes from the view of the Totality. That is that, that is this, this is this, Thou Art That. Outside in, inside changing out, coming back up again and going back down in. Over and over. Things get sweaty.

LUCID DREAMING

Are You Asleep?



This week we have listener, GhandiMan, on the show to discuss the Art of Dreaming. Lucid Dreaming is a technique that is not new to the human condition, but through the pioneering work of Dr. Stephen LaBerge of the Lucidity Institute, much scientific progress has been made to provide the public with information regarding the practice of knowing that you are in a dreaming state, and acting accordingly.



Ghandi has had much experience with the world of LD, and got his start after seeing the film, Waking Life, by Richard Linklater who also is the mind behind the film A Scanner Darkly, as well as the stoner classic, Dazed and Confused. Sancho had his first Lucid Dream the night after seeing this film. . .

Cody talks about having much experience with Lucid Dreaming himself, and his original inspiration came from the works of Carlos Castaneda. The main technique there being to look at one's hands obsessively in waking life, and to recognize when one is looking at them in the dream state.




REALITY CHECK

The key to effective Lucid Dreaming lies in two branches of technique- the MILD, and the WILD.

WILD- Wake Induced Lucid Dreaming

MILD- Mnemonic Induced Lucid Dreaming


Reality Checks are key to knowing exactly when you're dreaming or awake. So, that being the case, three RC's mentioned in the show are:

1). Right now, look at your hands. Just stare at them and concentrate on them. When dreaming, it will be difficult to maintain focus and your hands may even appear altered or even completely different. Make a habit of looking at your hands and asking THE question: "Am I Asleep?"

2). Right now, try and attempt to put one of your fingers through the palm of the opposite hand. If you CAN do this, then you are certainly in the dream world, or you just have a hole in your hand! Now, you can get used to doing this in your dreams, and so even if your finger goes through, if you're just plain bored of doing this tek then you still won't notice you're dreaming. . .

3). Right now, plug your nose and try to inhale through it. If you can't do this then you certainly are not dreaming, or are you? Awareness in these practices is key, which is why it is good to have more than one RC to work with just to be totally sure. Try this one again. . .are you still here?

What else can I say? This is an audio recorded interview stemming from one of those times in life when something falls in your lap at just the right time! After making up my mind to do a conspiracy show for you all, I discovered this guy talking about on his show many/few of the ideas I was going to bring to this episode. . .and he can say it better! I consider this episode a gem from my own personal equinox. What is presented here is a glimpse of a way of looking at the entire field of conspiracy research from an angle that is very crucial if one wishes to navigate these waters well, without having to get hung up on too much of the garbage. And there is a lot, oh yes, there is a lot.

This guy was great, very intelligent and easy to get a long with. I only wish all other interviews would go this well from start to finish! Audio touch-ups aside, I would really encourage anyone involved in the field of conspiracy research(or rather, parapolitical research to use a term AK brings with him) to listen to this episode a few times. Then I would encourage you to go and check out Aeolus's Stormy Weather Podcast. I'm not having you to believe that everything said is gold or that everything is right, but what I'm saying is that the entire viewpoint that this discussion comes out of is one that is almost necessary for parapolitical researchers and new agers alike. Just as our friend, Neil Kramer, does, he brings conspiracy to the table with a heaping dose of spiritual awareness and self-empowerment, truly cornerstones of any healthy diet!

I would especially invite one to further research and experience the notion of the Shadow, as that is a very key concept to be aware of in this day and age. The shit is piling up- Learn To Swim.

This video above is something I would HIGHLY recommend watching, for anyone who lives in America or otherwise. While it's obvious that many of this man's predictions haven't come true, there are possible reasons for that, and beyond all of that it is his description of the brainwashing techniques used by the KGB that are relevant. By that I mean that what he's saying is something that you can understand personally if you're a victim of American Public Education. This guy is right on the money. Just as the Nazi's were a warmup and test run for perhaps something else even larger, I would submit that what teh KGB was up to in the 20th century is also a lesson in some elitist textbook. Bezmenov also brings with him a message of empowerment and expanded awareness, being very cut and dry about the fact that this is being done and all it takes is people getting off of their "fat bottom" to fight the push of this passive, almost invisible propaganda/social engineering/brainwash.

So, this is Cody. I have no idea WTF I'm doing. Sancho is our typical 'show notes' guy, and I felt bad making him do more than the usual. So, I'm attempting these by myself for the very first time.

Basically, in Ep. 14.25 you heard the conversation I had with listener Anthony, who was able to make it to OKC for the Flaming Lips show on NYE. What I'm going to do here is just supply you with some pics of the event, to maybe give you an idea of what it was like to be there.

Hey everyone I'm still waiting for some stuff from Cody about the NYE Lips shows, pics and maybe some videos and such, so here's just some of the basics for this episode, more later tonight!



The first episode of the new year and it's super long and a day late, exactly what you would expect from BLITA so no lip!!! ;-)

For real though, we've got a lot of cool shit going on for this year and many of these aspects are coming together right now so it's taking a lot of free time! All good things require disproportionate wait times, usually, so no worries.

This episode is basically the first half being a discussion about Cody's time at the New Years Eve Flaming Lips show, and it sounds like it was a blast! Listener ynohtnA, who hangs out also in our chat room sometimes, actually met up with Cody there and between the two of them took enough drugs to make Willy Wonka blush!!! Fuckanay. . .





The SECOND half of the show is an interview with the major inspiration for us doing our own show, Lorenzo Hagerty of the Psychedelic Salon!!! It's a real honor and a treat to have him on, and it's especially fortunate that he's got plenty of experience at Burning Man which is why he decided to come out of near-seclusion and appear on our show! ;-)

If you guys haven't heard of Lorenzo before, or the Psychedelic Salon, I can't recommend it enough, it will change your mind/body state even without the aid of chemicals. . .no, really, it will. So many wonderful speakers, thought provoking presentations, mind-blowing ideas, and unquestionable integrity is what you'll get over at the Salon, it's one for the Ages.

Lorenzo has been helping us to really refine our vision for Burning Man and cueing us in to what is more of the reality of the situation as compared to our own half-baked(I say fully baked, hehe) ideas and aspirations. He'll be coming back on the show every so often to update us with info and further discuss just what we're gonna do there, but so far it's sounding like a blast! So listen in on this episode especially if you're planning on going to the Burn this year, or if you're just interested in the festival and what goes on behind the scenes in preparing and planning for it!


We also would like to shout out to our buddy Opaquelens who has his own psychedelic podcast called Shamanic Freedom Radio. He's new to the medium but seems to be comfortable with putting himself out there and still having something to say. He's starting to get a few guests on his show and already has landed an interview with the one, Rupert Sheldrake! It was a very good interview actually and highly recommend that episode and the others as well. Opaquelens has his own history and enlightening background along the path, and his show seems to be a welcome addition to the psychedelic genre of podcasts!
